With more than thirty years of sustained engagement, her presence bridges inherited tradition and contemporary expression, allowing classical music to remain rooted, resonant, and alive.

Her musical grounding emerges from an extraordinary heritage. She is the granddaughter of the legendary Smt. D. K. Pattammal and mridangam maestro Palghat Mani Iyer, and the grand-niece of Sangita Kalanidhi Sri D. K. Jayaraman. Her training began early under the guidance of her mother, Smt. Lalitha Sivakumar, and her grandmother, shaping a voice informed by discipline, restraint, and clarity from the very beginning.
